Ian Camera, Apple Education
Dr. Camera earned a B.A. in Psychology at Connecticut College, in New London, CT. He earned an MSN and a Nursing Doctor degree at Francis Payne Bolton School of Nursing, at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH with a research focus on the effects of a competitive environment on organizational behavior. He has served as an author and subject matter expert on numerous projects for Elsevier, Inc. Before joining Apple Education, he was on the nursing faculty and was the chair of the Instructional Technology Committee at Holyoke Community College, in Holyoke MA, where he had also served as department chair and interim dean of the Health Division. At Apple, he focuses on eliciting vision from campus leadership while facilitating practical, grounded innovation by faculty, staff, and students.

Matthew Mariani, Curry College
Matthew Mariani is a Senior at Curry College majoring in Software Development and simultaneously pursuing his Master’s in Business Administration. He has been on the Dean’s List every semester and is a member of the Epsilon Pi Tau Honor’s Society. For fun, he builds personal computers and belongs to a competitive online gaming community. He thrives during immersive activities that require intense problem-solving for a shared solution. He takes joy in seeing others benefit from his ability to deconstruct a coding problem, piece it back together, and generate a better alternative. He was recruited by the Program for Advancement of Learning as a Peer Mobile Learning Tutor and has been working in the Assistive Technology Center for four years. He currently resides in New York.

Dr. Laura Vanderberg, Curry College
Dr. Laura Vanderberg integrates theory, research, and practice of typical and atypical cognitive development across the lifespan in her UDL curriculum at Curry College. Through iPAL, she has flipped the typical higher educational model and invited students as co-owners of program design, implementation, assessment, and revision. She was selected in the global class of Apple Distinguished Educators in 2019, based on her development and implementation of iPAL. Her current research interests connect UDL as a framework for fostering diversity, building inclusive learning environments, and teaching for equity by supporting generative cognitive adaptability. She has an active research agenda that investigates assessment, learning, and development for learners from k through professional learning settings. She thrives when she works metacognitively with students with complicated learning profiles, invites them to own their strengths and challenges, and supports them to find strategies and life-long approaches for learning and cognitive development.

Meg Wilson, Apple Education
Meg Wilson is an Education Leadership Executive at Apple working with school leaders across the US to improve learning experiences for all students, regardless of age or ability. She focuses on accessibility, literacy, and early learning.
Prior to Apple, Meg served for 10 years as a special educator, technology integration specialist, digital learning coordinator, and adjunct professor in Connecticut and New York City. She holds an MSEd in Special Education and an MBA. Meg is passionate about improving the educational experience for both students and teachers and strongly believes that technology can be a tool to personalize and reimagine learning.
