Speaker: Mark Frydenberg, Senior Lecturer, Computer Information Systems, and Director of the CIS Learning and Technology Sandbox, Bentley University
Students today are constantly on their mobile devices—texting, browsing, or updating their Facebook pages. As the number of students owning smartphones and tablets continues to increase, faculty are challenged with finding ways to integrate them into the classroom experience. This session will explore learning activities that educators can introduce to incorporate the use of mobile apps and devices in the classroom, rather than tell students to put them away.

We will include our discussions around security and policy regarding mobile devices.
2:00pm – 3:00pm Mobility in Higher Education
Speaker: Mark Staples, Vice President & Chief Information Officer, Wentworth Institute of Technology
Mobility is challenging how we deliver and support services. The next 2-5 years will prove interesting for IT departments as the user base becomes more agile and more aware of their technology capabilities. IT departments will find that its not only difficult to keep up with the demands for new services, but it's possible that the users will become more knowledgeable and seek alternatives.
