Charron Andrus
Charron Andrus has over 20 years of extensive IT and cybersecurity experience, spanning private and public entities as well as clinical and academic organizations. Charron has been with the University of California system serving both the Berkeley and Davis Health campuses. Charron holds an M.A. in Gerontology from the University of Southern California and a B.S. in Organizational Leadership from Biola University.
Charron is the co-founder of the Black Leadership Alliance Council at the University of California (BLAC@UC), Chair of University of California Womxn in Technology (UC WIT), and Co-lead of the EDUCAUSE Diversity in IT Community Group. She is an appointed Sacramento City Independent Redistricting Commissioner, and a member of the Hearts with Haiti Executive Board of Directors.
Charron’s focus is on advocating for a diverse, inclusive, and equitable faculty, staff, and student body; and her passion centers around creating meaningful relationships within Higher Education and broader communities.
Charron is the mother of one amazing son who married an equally amazing woman, and they have blessed her with a gorgeous grandson.
In her spare time, she enjoys writing, having published a book of poems: Words That Occur in the Absence of Love and a Planner, Journal and Goal Tracker: Simplicity & Joy Planner.
María C Higuera
María C Higuera is an experienced software engineer, and an emerging manager with over 14 years of experience in IT, including nine years in higher education at Wesleyan University.
A graduate of Javeriana University in Colombia, she moved to the United States to pursue a master’s degree in computer science at Wichita State University.
At Wesleyan she serves as the Associate Director Workday Student, where she leads the team dedicated to supporting student-facing offices, focusing on delivering technical solutions that enhance the student experience. With a background in PeopleSoft, Workday, and software development, she is dedicated to using technology to foster students’ personal and career growth during their college experience.
As a Latina in tech and fluent Spanish speaker, she is passionate about helping other minorities recognize and pursue their potential. She has mentored younger Latin professionals and has supported hackathons for kids to spark an early interest in technology.
She participated in the Next Leaders Fellowship (2023) and the MOR Leadership program in 2024. She currently serves on EDUCAUSE’s TLC committee and the planning committee for the Ingeniera Foundation.
Shauntae Trammell
Shauntae Trammell is a passionate technology leader and podcast host with 17 years of experience in the higher education industry. She earned an M.S. degree in Information Systems Technology Management from George Washington University. At GW, she oversees a team of technical professionals delivering IT and classroom support to ten schools and colleges across three campuses.
Throughout her career, she has overseen several technology upgrade projects and campus-wide technology initiatives, improving efficiency in service delivery. Shauntae leads IT initiatives that impact stakeholders through thoughtful change management strategies. She fosters strong relationships across the university through faculty outreach, panel discussions, and committees to enhance the teaching and learning experience.
Shauntae also hosts the podcast "Leadership Amplified," exploring the power of diverse perspectives in leadership and how inclusivity drives innovation in technology. As an inclusive leader, she believes in building meaningful relationships, developing high-performing teams, and driving change with honesty, integrity, and intentionality.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, hosting events, and volunteering in her community.
Ashely Turner
Ashley Turner is a visionary EdTech leader and digital innovation strategist currently serving as Senior Academic Technologist at Swarthmore College. With over a decade of experience, Ashley empowers faculty, staff, and students to use learning technologies in more impactful and engaging ways.
At Swarthmore, she leads strategic initiatives in blended learning, Teaching With Tablets, and AI literacy. She has served in key leadership roles, including Chair of the Staff Advisory Council and founding leadership team member of the Women of Color Employee Resource Group. She also contributed her expertise nationally as a member of the EDUCAUSE Young Professionals Advisory Committee.
A nationally recognized advocate for tech access and education, Ashley is also the Founder and Executive Director of Philly Tech Sistas, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing women of color into tech careers through hands-on training, mentorship, and leadership development. Her transformative work has earned her numerous accolades, including the 2019 Technically Philly Impact Leader of the Year, a spot on the Philadelphia Business Journal’s Power 100 in 2020, and recognition as one of their Top 40 Under 40 in 2021.
Ashley brings a rare combination of technical fluency, creative leadership, and deep community insight to any endeavor. She is especially passionate about creating economic mobility through education and empowering career changers to thrive in today’s tech economy.
When she's not building pathways into tech or reimagining digital learning, you’ll find her swimming, learning to play golf, or walking along the Schuylkill River Trail with an audiobook in her ears and a new idea on her mind.
