Creative Outreach-Supporting Academic Software With Flair

Speaker: Jes Caron

Jes Caron is the Senior Instructional Technologist in the WPI Academic Technology Center's Technology for Teaching and Learning office. Jes helps to maintain the Blackboard server, frequently visits classes to discuss presentation development and style, and enjoys talking to faculty and students about how technology can be used to help them reach their objectives.

Outside of work, Jes enjoys reading a good book, singing, being active, and is a tea snob. She could not live without Sarah Jane (Super-dog), Ben (her partner in crime), or a good cup of tea. Ok, but why is she telling you that part? I mean this is a professional conference…right? Jes thinks that making IT fun and approachable is important and she is hoping to share a little bit of that with the world!
