Defining Technology Literacy in Higher Education

Speaker: Maryann Gallant

Maryann Gallant is a Professor and Chairperson of the Applied Technology Department at Curry College. She has presented at various local, national and international conferences, including the Clute Institute for Academic Research Teaching and Learning Conference, the Massachusetts Business Educators Association Conference, Syllabus Conferences, and the Massachusetts Education Computing Conference (MECC). In addition to the immense gratification she receives from teaching, she enjoys the challenge of keeping up-to-date with the ever-changing world of technology. She received her B.S. in Education from Northeastern University and her M.Ed. in Computer Education from Lesley University.


Speaker: Deanna Gordon

Deanna Gordon, M.Ed., is a Professor in the Management and Applied Technology Departments at Curry College. She holds her undergraduate degree from Framingham State College and her M.Ed. from Curry College. Deanna has held various positions in the corporate sector, prior to entering Higher Education. Her background includes extensive career counseling and educational program development/management. Her management background is coupled with her extensive knowledge in technology and she teaches a wide variety of computer application courses. Deanna has created several training materials for corporate environments and has developed curriculum in E-Portfolio. Deanna has presented at numerous local, national and international conferences.
