Event Overview
This session will explore the future of learning management systems and the role of new models, such as open learning networks and personal learning environments. As many institutions strategize their learning management system roadmap and opportunities present themselves through integrating cloud-based technologies, we will explore potential solutions and envision the future.
Presenters will focus on innovations currently being pursued in the learning management space. In addition, learning management system researchers will share their findings.
Session Outcomes :
- Explore next generation models, such as the open learning network and personal learning environments
- Synthesize gaps in current LMSs versus pedagogical needs
- Explore tools learners are currently choosing to augment typical learning management system functionality
