Join a panel of colleagues discussing accessibility in a variety of Learning Management Systems [LMS]. The panel will share their expertise and answer questions related to guiding principles of accessibility in an LMS, accessibility design considerations, and what content inspection tools people are currently implementing in their LMS.

Online Educational Resources [OER] are free and openly licensed educational materials that can be used for teaching and learning. Our panel of specialists will be discussing the benefits of implementing and getting started with OER, sustaining faculty buy-in, and managing copyright challenges in all online and on ground classrooms

Symposium attendees will participate in an active learning exercise generating a series of fast-paced conversations focused on creating strong learning opportunities to be used for engaging faculty development. A collaborative Google Doc will be available for attendees to dive into the deep end and will allow them to return to their institutions invigorated with ideas from the group session.

You heard what was shared in the morning session, but how do these topic integrate with your Blackboard platform? Join the Blackboard team to hear where the company is heading with the Learn and Ultra platform. During the session, Blackboard will cover current features, upcoming roadmap developments, and share what to expect in the near future. The Blackboard team will also be available to answer member questions, even the ones that are hard to ask.

Moodle User Group Afternoon Agenda
1:00pm - 2:00pm Building Competency Frameworks in Moodle
Speaker: Erin Courville, Instructional Designer & Instructor, Granite State College
Beginning with Moodle 3.1 in 2016 a new feature was added to Moodle Core: Competencies. The documentation on the feature has been complicated and limited to this point. This session will outline what Moodle Competencies are, how to set up a competency framework, how to set-up a course with competencies, how to set up and activity with competencies. I will also share information about setting up scales for competency frameworks & configuring Learning Plans and Cohorts to meet your needs. Come with your questions, and I will do my best to answer them!
