Event Overview
Come explore the year that was and join a group of Massachusetts higher education professionals, representing six institutions, to contribute to the creation of an Instructional Design Toolkit for the years to come. Using lessons learned across the past few years, we will take a deep dive into three learning management systems (Blackboard, Canvas, and Moodle), and collaborate to create a list of platform-agnostic best practices.
Who should attend? Our audience should consist of folks that support: teaching and learning, LMS administration, faculty development, instructional technology, and instructional design.
Session Outcomes:
- Apply platform-agnostic best practices.
- Identify potential issues and/or lessons learned from others’ LMS experiences.
- List first-hand faculty training experiences with the transition to emergency remote learning.
- Locate and use a working toolkit for instructional design strategies.
- Collaborate with instructional designers, instructional technologists, and LMS Administrators to maintain a working toolkit.
