9:30am – 10:00am:  Hands on Activity and Discussion: What is Emotional Intelligence?

During this portion of the presentation we will participate in an activity to help us determine what emotional intelligence is, and discuss what impacts it could have on a presentation environment.

10:00am - 10:30am:  Hands on Activity and Discussion: What Makes a Great Presentation?

During this portion of the session we will participate in an activity to help us determine what makes up a great presentation, and discuss what impacts those characteristics have on a presentation.

10:30am – 11:30pm: Presentation and Discussion: How does Emotional Intelligence Impact a Presentation?

During this portion of the session we will talk about the main principles that make up a presentation, and how they are impacted by emotional intelligence.

11:30am- 12:00pm: Presentation and Discussion: Reading your Audience

During this portion of the session we will talk about how to actively read your audience during your presentation, and how to adjust your presentation style to address their reactions. We will also discuss what type of tools you can use to help with this process.

12:00pm – 1:00pm: Lunch

1:00pm – 2:00pm: Practice and Discussion: Adapting a Presentation

During this portion of the session we will have a hands on activity that allows you to try out some different presentation styles, and to utilize emotional intelligence to modify an existing presentation. We will also discuss results, concerns, and questions about this process.

2:30pm – 3:00pm: Questions and Wrap Up
