Event Overview
In this workshop, we will explore the creative ways academic libraries are fostering new partnerships with Student Affairs and other campus colleagues to improve outreach and engagement; develop meaningful and integrative programming and services; and provide holistic support for students in their academic communities.
Throughout the day, we will share examples of successful collaborations with campus partners from Residential Life, Academic Support Services, Health Services, Student Activities, and the First Year Orientation Program, and examine the value of these cross-institutional relationships when it comes to supporting a student’s overall success and well-being. We will also share outreach strategies and best practices for cultivating connections with campus colleagues and communicating with students and then brainstorm with attendees to come up with innovative programming ideas and services they can accomplish on their own campuses. Lastly, we will demonstrate how these initiatives can be aligned with the larger strategic goals of their institutions to ensure their continued success.
Please bring your enthusiasm, great ideas, and your laptops for this fun and collaborative workshop.
