Event Overview

There is nothing more frustrating in business than a process that doesn’t work, is cumbersome or adds more overhead than value. Process mapping can be a wonderful tool to promote effectiveness and efficiency. Having documented process maps can add clarity not only about the process but about individual roles within the process. It also helps to identify opportunities to remove inefficiencies, facilitate workflow, or identify touch-points to customers, business units or technologies that support the process.

In this session, participants will be introduced to process mapping concepts and begin to create and use process maps to document activities, facilitate problem-solving, identify pain points, and recognize improvement opportunities.

Participants will also learn about facilitation techniques such as harnessing group energy through ‘hands-on’ experience combined with instruction – enabling them to apply these techniques within their organizations to make an immediate impact.

Objectives:
• Experience how to map major and detailed steps of a process
• Understand how to illustrate the flow of work and information through an organization and a physical space
