Event Overview
Storage technology is a constantly evolving area. This workshop will explore both commercial and open-source options that are available today, and look at what to expect in the near future. No single storage system is going to meet all your needs and many systems are becoming more targeted at specific applications, while others do try to be all things to all applications. Come learn about what’s available and the benefits and drawbacks of the various options.
Session Outcomes:
Attendees will learn about the current technologies in the market for Storage Systems, the technologies behind the logos, and how different technologies might apply to specific situations. Open source options will also be explored with an eye to real world implementation. You will be better informed the next time you sit down to negotiate, or view a demo, with a storage tech vendor, or to decide whether open source might be the best option.
Registration Cancellation Policy:
By clicking on the "Register Now" button, you are indicating a commitment to attend and will be held responsible for the registration fee. Your fee can be refunded if you notify us of a cancellation at least 8 days prior to the event via email to nercomp@nercomp.org.
