Event Overview

Strategic Planning is a creative and ongoing process critical for ensuring Higher Ed IT can remain proactive rather than reactive. How do you start? How do you get community buy-in? How do you make sure IT goals match up with your campus’ goals? How do you ensure your strategic plan stays current and doesn’t end up ‘on the shelf’? This workshop will explore different ways to meet all these goals: • Session leaders will present case studies of their IT department planning processes, including different approaches for different situations • Attendees will participate in collaborative planning exercises followed by a post-mortem • Attendees will participate in a round-table discussion where they can bring up specific challenges they are facing in their own environments, and share ideas and best practices with each other.
