In this session, we will discuss how games and game features help solve learner-centered design challenges in college courses, and ask audience members to share challenges at their institutions.

10:45am - 12:00pm Game Jam Workshop Part I: Brainstorming
Through a guided exercise, participants will form groups and generate a workable game idea to facilitate learning a specific task or set of content.
12:00pm - 1:00pm Lunch
1:00pm - 2:00pm Game Jam Workshop Part II: Prototyping
Presenters will work with groups to develop game ideas into playable games; materials will be provided.
2:00pm - 2:30pm Game Jam Workshop Part III: Play Testing
Groups will share their games, and will have opportunities for play and feedback.
2:30pm - 3:00pm Closing Discussion: Lessons for Integrating Games into Higher Ed
