Alan Baker

Alan Baker is Director of Enterprise Architecture and Strategy at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He also serves as the Chair of the Information Technology Architecture Review Board. He is involved in higher-level solution planning and larger IT strategies with the goals of tying initiatives or processes together to improve quality and reduce effort. As part of the Architecture Review Board, Alan works as a partner to other business units in WPI to ensure that new projects follow architectural standards and provide assistance with design as needed.

 

 Kate Beverage

 Kate is the Associate CIO for Academic Technologies at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. She provides leadership to the Academic Technology Center (ATC) in the delivery of technologies used to support teaching and learning in face-to-face, online and hybrid courses as well as event-related AV and multimedia support across campus. Kate also oversees the Instructional Design team who collaborate with the Morgan Teaching & Learning Center on faculty training in current pedagogical practices. She holds a BA from the University of Connecticut and a Master's degree from Boise State University.

 

Jill Desmarais

Jill serves as Director of ITS Finance and Portfolio Management at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. In this role, she manages a team responsible for budget and operational activities, project and portfolio management. Since joining WPI in 2018, Jill has managed the implementation of Workday Student, PowerFAIDS, Zoom Phone, HaloITSM, and the retirement of WPI's legacy ERP system, Banner. Jill earned an M.Ed. in Instructional Design from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, and has maintained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from Project Management Inc. since 2009.

 

 Kerrie Sacovitch

As Associate Director, Communications and Change Management, at WPI, Kerrie focuses on keeping the community informed and engaged in the latest technology adoption through strong partnerships within IT and across campus departments. Her time in IT has been guided by values of customer service, continuous process improvement, and teamwork. She holds a BA from the College of the Holy Cross, and her certifications include ITIL, Knowledge Centered Support, and MSI Change Management Specialist.
