Event Overview
Are you charged with helping your faculty design and develop online and hybrid learning courses? If so, this workshop - presented and led by the Academic Technology team at Le Moyne College - will help you understand how to build an approach to a faculty development program called Learner-Centered Design (LCD) for course design and development.
The hybrid faculty development program at Le Moyne College consists of an online introduction to Instructional Systems Design (ISD) with supporting activities, including:
- A one-to-one meeting with the instructional designer session
- A three-day on-campus introductory seminar on methodologies and pedagogies in distance education
- A semester-long series of individual consultations and small group workshops designed for faculty participants to develop and design an online or hybrid course of their choosing.
Join us to learn more about our program and how you might implement something similar at your own institutions. The workshop takes place over the course of two days (1.5 hours each day).
Session Outcomes
- Describe the various aspects of the ISD process.
- Connect the ISD components to the overall institutional mission.
- Brainstorm ways that participants can implement course design and development strategies at their home institutions.
