ITSM Change Management: What Is It? Why Do I Need It? How Do I Get It?

Rori Boyce-Werner
Rori is currently the Information Security Compliance Program Manager for the University of New Hampshire, where she was previously the Associate Director of IT Client Services and the Manager of ITSM.  She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration and is working towards her Masters of Cybersecurity Policy and Risk Management.  She spent the majority of her career in financial services specializing in bridging the gap between the business and IT through business analysis, business process design/redesign, project management, and program management.   She has implemented and managed Change Management in a variety of settings ranged from public-sector non-profit entities to global companies with $1B+ in annual revenue. 


Mark Taricco      
Mark serves as the Director of Systems Operations in the Information Technology (IT) department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI).  He is responsible for providing high quality IT services to the growing WPI community through the continued management and strategic planning of scalable and secure enterprise systems and storage environments.

Mark represents WPI’s information technology mission by promoting innovation to deliver an advanced technology infrastructure to meet academic, student, and administrative needs.  Prior to joining WPI in 2018, he spent 15+ years in information technology leadership roles focusing on business and information technology strategies, developing team environments, and collaborating effectively with clients, vendors, and cross-management teams.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications from Emerson College, a Master of Business Administration from URI and several certificates, including a Graduate Certificate from WPI in Health Care Information Management, Regional Leadership from the Society for Information Management, and a LEAN Yellow Belt.


Kevin Wheeler   
Kevin is the IT Service Delivery Manager at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), where he has worked for 4 years managing a team of enthusiastic Service Desk Staff and providing award winning support and customer experiences.  Kevin has worked in the IT Service and Support industry for 20 years, in both the public and private sector.  He has an AS in Information Technology and is certified in ITIL Foundations.  When not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 daughters, playing video games, and singing with the adult choir, Rock Voices.


Marshall White
Marshall has been working at the University of New Hampshire since 1991. He is currently responsible for managing two departments at the University of New Hampshire, the Audiovisual Services Department as well as the Academic Technology Support Center. He leads the Academic Technology Liaison program of distributed IT technical support for UNH Schools and Colleges, as well as the UNH Classroom Maintenance Committee. He was responsible for championing the UNH TV Digital Signage service which encompasses 30 signs across two campuses, integrated emergency alerts  as well as Channel 3.1 on the UNH CableTV lineup. 

Marshall holds a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts and a M.S. in Project Management from Granite State College. 


Matt Wollman
Matt currently works at Northeastern University as Sr. ITSM Analyst. He has previously worked at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University for 17 years in various IT Support, Management, ITSM Analyst and ITSM tool Administrator roles, currently focused on ITSM change, incident and problem processes at Northeastern. He began his ITSM journey in 2003, while working as a Service Desk supervisor and Remedy administrator. Since then he has been focused on improving IT services through unified processes, to create a consistent quality of service and value to the university communities. He currently holds several ITIL certifications and is working on his ITIL Expert, and served as the IT Service Management Forum Higher Education Special Interest Group President. Locally, in the Boston area, he his active in the ServiceNow and ITSM NERCOMP communities.
